So...the last of the "scheduled" R1 interviews should have taken place yesterday. That leaves three weeks for them to decide how much scholarship money we're all getting. I am trying to load my social/professional calendar for that week so I won't just sit there sweet talking my phone in to ringing. Best of luck to all who interviewed or are still waiting -- it seems like everyone on this board really, really likes the school, the kind of classmates I'd love to have.

Now that R2 app is out of the way, anyone know when the R2 interview will start coming in? I assume sometime in February?

This wait is brutal. Why is Darden so late in getting decisions relative to other schools?

I am from europe and an admission representative contact me to tell me that she would help me through the application process. Besides some current students from my country contacted me afterwards. Quite impressive, any other school has done the same.

I hope the interview invitation will start to go out the next week.

nest, u seem special.. No one did that to me whn i was applying in R1 :cry:
But, ya, darden is an awesome school. If u do visit darden for the interview, i m u sure will love it too!

Everyone got the gift basket after they interviewed though, right? No mother-of-pearl spoon for the caviar, but I suppose that would be a bit opulent for these economic times. It's the thought that counts...I guess.

I did get a HELLAH sweet orange pen. I mean, it writes in orange ink. Actual orange. Sweeeeeeeeeet......

I was stoked about the orange ink Darden pen as well. This wait for Darden news is killing me. Two more weeks, I guess.

Just ten odd days to go ... good luck everyone!

Could someone add me to the list? I'm a R1 applicant and have interviewed already. I think I was invited to interview on 12/1 or maybe a couple days before that. I interviewed on 12/12.

Should I be worried that my status still says "Received"? I applied for R2 and submitted my application on 1/5/09. I know some school never change the status.

I would not worry about it. I do not remember what happened after I applied, but that probably just means they have all of the materials. The only change you should worry about next is invite to interview.

LOL. I'm going to wait for an interview invite so I can feed my ego about having received an invitation to interview everywhere I applied. :wink:

Besides, a lot of folks at Darden helped me put together a reasonably strong application, so I feel I owe it to them to pursue things just a bit further. In any case, I'm notoriously fickle minded. :)
