1. You'd want to convince the b-school that you were encouraged by family and friends to apply.
2. At the same time, as they are asking for "impact on family and friends" - you'd want to explain that you discussed any negative impact your move is likely to have on family (friends will not get impacted) - and what arrangements you have made for that/ had open discussions at home.
