Really hoping I get into Tepper....its my dream school.

On a sad note, I got a ding from ISB today. (Indian School of Business).

Sperinko. I am so sorry - that stinks. ISB didn't deserve you!!

sperinko, the reason I asked about Haas is because I really enjoy reading your blog wherein you mentioned Haas as your dream school. You seem like a really great guy and I am sure you will get into the school of your choice. Don't worry about the ISB ding. I agree with uphillclimb - It's ISB's loss, not yours.

Thanks mate ! Although it might sound like the case of the "Fox and Sour Grapes" story....I actually didn't intend to join ISB even if were admitted due to a combination of family reasons and the fact that my chances of returning back here are really slim. I took it more as a safety net...and realised today that their requirements for folks with typical IT profiles are in the high 750s.

I couldn't find a "bug" in my ISB essays or in the way the interview went.

Anyways...I want to put that behind and work on the Ross and Kellogg essays. I am glad I have made pretty good progress on the Ross essays, although I am pretty scared to see the Kellogg essays. I think I really need to use all the time I can get in the holiday season to write the Kellogg essays. Let's see how it goes.

Thanks for all your support...really what keeps me going.

Did you guys get an email for what looks to be a winter break coffee chat that AAu posted?

The date is for after the decision date, so I wonder....

Haas and Ross. I had an interview with Ross on 11/13, but haven't heard from Haas yet.
I like Tepper, though. Their adcom really went out of their way to accomodate some of my requests - helping me get in touch with some of their Canadian alums for instance.

I too was amazed by the response of adcom....they put me in touch with students pretty quick....very friendly folks too.

This time next week, I will know what all that translates to in terms of my decision !!

The date is for after the decision date, so I wonder....

So I haven't rec'd a response from the student I emailed...

Maybe that means they know I'm dinged, so why bother, right?

gmatclb please enlighten me. Is this Tepper related? The link you sent me has Duke, Ross, Kellog and some others, but not Tepper. Also, why do you think you got dinged if a student didn't reply to you. They shouldn't be privy to that kind of information.

Would it be out by Thursday night ??
...I think updates are done via the online app rather than phone call.

clobo....I can understand exactly what you are going through....it gets nerve-racking the last few days before decision day. I think it helps to divert attention to other things (like what...I donno!) to make it easier on ourself !

Monday coming to a close. (TUE+WED+THU) more to go.

I have scanned every line of the Dec 11th adcom chat to get some kind of indication on the R1 application numbers. Nothing in there.

schools are pretty tight lipped about that this early in the process. I think they want to avoid discouraging R2 applicants.

We probably wont find out until people go to admitted student weekends. I have heard some schools put out an idea on the % increase of applications at these.

Do you mean the Tepper chat on their school's website or was there another chat with a 3rd party organization?
