Curriculum – Notable Features

Curriculum Overview
Quote:
Year One: Foundation, Methods & Models
In year one, students are exposed to the fundamental base of management skills that serves as an important driver throughout the first decade of their careers. Economics, organizational behavior, and analytical courses form the intellectual foundation of developing an exceptional business skill set. The core begins with a solid foundation in the three fundamental scientific disciplines - economics, behavioral sciences, and quantitative methods.

In keeping with our tradition of innovation, the MBA faculty may revise the curriculum and course offerings at any time.

Year Two: Integration, Applications & Strategy
The flexibility of the second year curriculum (virtually all elective courses) gives you the opportunity to integrate what you have learned, to explore the areas in which your career interests lie and to gain additional breadth across your choice of management areas.

In keeping with our tradition of innovation, the MBA faculty may revise the curriculum and course offerings at any time.

MBA Tracks
Quote:
The Tepper School is the only graduate business program offering an in-depth, unique model of cross-campus curricula that builds industry exposure in tandem with business fundamentals.

Students can choose from nearly 20 exciting options across seven MBA Tracks for a customized, academic experience that prepares the MBA graduate for leadership opportunities.

Quote:
For students interested in careers in the financial services industry, Carnegie Mellon is the only B-school to offer a dual degree in financial engineering that is integrated with the university's math and information technology departments. The top-ranked Master's in Computational Finance degree - combined with a Tepper MBA - is a powerful option for depth in equity and bond portfolio management.

For students who meet the math and quantitative requirements, we encourage consideration of the MBA/MSCF degree option. This joint degree requires only one additional semester of study beyond the traditional MBA, and the program receives exceptional reviews from students and corporate recruiters for the depth of knowledge and preparedness it provides.

Would anybody know what Tepper's criteria is for GMAT retakers? I'm considering a 4th attempt currently, and want to be sure that they will consider only my higherst score if my score drops.
