Hi everybody,

I gave my gmat today scored 730..verbal 41 quant 49 IR 7.

A big thanks to the club for helping me in my preparation.Special thanks to Bunuel ,gmatFalcon ,carcass ,chetan2u ,chesstitans, souvik101990 ,sayantanc2k and GMATNinja.
All you people are doing a great job in helping people with their preparations.

Anybody who has just began his/her Gmat journey.....give a couple hours everyday to the club and you are bound to succeed.
Their is ample information here and a lot of people to help you.

WHAT WORKED FOR ME
1. QUANT:
I went through RS Agarwal to brush up my basics and then it was practicing everyday.
Make sure you understand the concepts of NUMBER SYSTEM,STATS AND PROBABILITY WELL.
The more you practice ,the more confidence you gain and eventually you will become better at it.
CONCEPTS->PRACTICE->MORE PRACTICE.

2. VERBAL:-
For Sentence correction their are limited rules which come Handy in Gmat.
Egmat is a good source.
But always keep in mind it's all about understanding the meaning of the sentence.RULES COME IN PLAY AFTER YOU HAVE UNDERSTOOD THE SENTENCE.

For eg..not only X but also Y.........common GMAT idiom.

But it can be wrong even if the X and Y are parallel when the sentence is framed such that X and Y contrast each other.
So make sure you understand the sentence and then play POE using the rules.

For Critical Reasoning most important thing is to find the conclusion and premise.Once you get them you can easily mark out 3 of the 5 choices.

For Reading Comprehension..
1. Read the passage at a good pace.
2. Make sure you get the theme and the issue of the passage.
3. Make a habit to skip through the details but you should know the overall purpose of those details.
4.While playing POE justify every word. There are partial wrong answers.

For Practice tests I did them all.....MANHATTAN,GMATCLUB and VERITASPREP.
Make sure you revise your test properly.
You shouldn't repeat the mistakes and this is where error log comes handy.

APART FROM STUDYING DILIGENTLY,,,make sure you are healthy both physically and mentally.
I ended up giving up smoking and I ran a couple km's everyday.

Make sure you eat properly on the test day.I ended up eating a lot of snickers..

IF I CAN DO IT ...ANYBODYYYYYYYYYYYY CAN....ALL THE BEST

Hi Rahul,

I am glad I could be a part of your journey in whatever little way.
Ofcourse 730 is a great score and it is purely your hard work. All the best for the next phase..
