You want to convert 100 square cm to sqare m

100cm = 1m
so, 10 cm = 0.1 m
=> 100 square cm = 10 cm* 10 cm = 0.1 m* 0.1 m = 0.01 square m

Bunnel, plz needs your suggestion on this.

If the question asks to convert 100 square centimeters to square meters then the answers posted above are correct:

$$1m^2=1m*1m=100cm*100cm=10,000cm^2$$;

$$100cm^2=0.01m^2$$.

Please check the question.

100 cm = 1 m .

100*100 cm^2 = 1 m ^2.

100 cm^2 = ( 1/100 ) m^2 = 0.01 m^2.

100 cm = 1m .....(1)

(1) implies 1cm = 0.01m....(2)

Multiply (1) and (2) 100 cmx1cm = 1mx.01m

=> 100 cm2 = 0.01 m2

Please post Kudos if you like the method...

If 100 cm = 1 meter, then what is the value of 100 square cm in square meters.

1 cm = (1/100) m = 0.01 m

Thus, 1 square cm = (1 cm)^2 = (0.01 m)^2 = 0.0001 m^2.

So, 100 square cm = 100 x 0.0001 m^2 = 0.01 m^2.

Done.

Check other Conversion problems to practice in Special Questions Directory.

P.S. It's enough to tag only me. No need to tag others. Even better of you use report a problem button instead.

Can someone please help me. I'm really confused here. I don't want to miss this question

If I'm converting 100 cm^2 to m^2:

100 * 100 = 10,000 cm^2 in 1 m^2

I get 10,000 cm^2 as my answer.

How are you all getting a decimal (0.01m^2)? I'm not understanding the steps.

Thanks so much

If 10,000 cm^2 in 1 m^2, then how much is 100 cm^2 ?

A more straight forward version from the question tags to start off

100 cm = 1 m

square both sides to get cm^2 and m^2

10000 cm^2 = 1 m^2

divide by 100 to get what is asked in the question

100 cm^2 = 0.01 m^2.

Option B

Let me know if it looks simplified.
