A. \(b =\frac{a}{3}-\frac{2}{3}\)

B. \(b =\frac{a}{3}+\frac{2}{3}\)

C. \(b =\frac{a}{3}-2\)

D. \(b =a-\frac{2}{3}\)

E. \(b =a+\frac{2}{3}\)

Given,

a = 3b+2
a-2 = 3b
\(b =\frac{a-2}{3}\)
\(b =\frac{a}{3} - \frac{2}{3}\)

Thus the best answer is A.

Getting b in terms of a, we have:

a = 3b + 2

a - 2 = 3b

a/3 - 2/3 = b
