x/7 = q + 1

x = 7q + 1

again,

y/7 = p + 2

y = 7p + 2

$$\frac{(x + y)}{7}$$

= $$\frac{(7q + 1 + 7p + 2)}{7}$$

=$$\frac{( 7q + 7p + 3)}{7}$$

Only 3 is not divisible.

x= 8 and y = 9
would give remainder as 1 and 2 when divided by 7
x+y = 17
17/7 = 3

X = 7 I + 1
Y = 7 I + 2

You can take values as x=1, y = 2 or x = 15, y =16

X+Y = 7I + 3
