35% of all managers = 42 Managers who have earned MBA.
All Managers= 42*100/35= 120.
D is correct choice.

In Aldebaran Corporation, 35% of the managers have an MBA. If there are 42 managers with MBA, what is the total number of managers?

A. 15
B. 57
C. 84
D. 120
E. 147

Suppose there are total X Managers

35% of X Managers are Managers with MBA ,which is equivalent to 42

So 35% of X = 42
X = 42 * 100/35
X = 120

Choice D is correct

Solution


Given:
    • 35% of the managers have an MBA
    • The number of managers with MBA = 42

To find:
    • The total number of managers

Approach and Working:
    • 35% of total managers = 42
    • Thus, total number of managers = \(42 * \frac{100}{35} = 120\)

Hence, the correct answer is Option D

Answer: D

35% represents 42 managers

1 % represents 42/35 managers

100 % represents (42/35)*100 = 120.

The best answer is D.

We can let m = the number of managers and create the equation:

0.35m = 42

m = 42/0.35 = 120

Answer: D
