Live chat with a professional psychotherapist and GMAT Club member
to address stress and anxiety faced during prep and exams.
Dear GMAT aspirants:
It gives me immense pleasure to share with you, the first of its kind - a live text chat experience with one of GC members
Samiya and a professional psychotherapist who deals with stress and anxiety encountered by students.
The text session shall mainly address issues such as:
a. Symptoms of stress and anxiety and techniques to deal with them
b. Tools one can use on short and long run to deal with emotions stemming from negative thoughts.
We shall be conducting the chat in co-ordination with LonePack which is a registered not-for-profit organization that aims to create awareness and combat mental health issues among the youth. They've conducted events in various metros in India in association with colleges & schools like DAV Group of Schools, SRM, etc. They have also worked with various organizations like Uber, Teen Mental Health (Canada) etc. and have been featured in various forms of print media including The Times of India, etc. You can read more about them at their website (

This organization is co-founded by gmatclub user: Samiya who scored 780 Q50 V48 and shared her debrief
here. Samiya is a non-native from India and currently works as an Analyst at a major consulting firm. As she explains in her debrief, the key challenge in her GMAT Prep was figuring out the mental strategy for the exam and going in with the right mindset. This chat will be conducted with Samiya and a mental health professional - Bhawna Sharma, who is a trained Psychotherapist from TISS, Mumbai.
The chat session shall be completely anonymous. Do make sure to break off your mental barriers and post your queries pertaining to the above subject, since we can collectively address them and ensure that GMAT journey is smoother and enjoyable rather than stressful.
