However, they don't hint at how long it will be after submitting your application before you hear whether the school is advancing your application and inviting you for an interview. The interviews are invitation-only, and for many candidates, the wait after submitting their application can be difficult.
We have worked with many MIT Executive MBA candidates this year, helping them craft truly outstanding applications. All of our candidates have advanced to the interview stage, and all of those candidates have gained admission. This year, the typical wait to receive an interview invitation has been 2.5 weeks. During the last two rounds (April and May), you might expect a bit longer wait, perhaps up to 3.5 weeks.
Use your time after submission to prepare well for a possible interview because MIT has one of the hardest interviews around. MIT puts Executive MBA candidates through two back-to-back interviews of 45 minutes each. Typically, the interviews are heavy in behavioral questions, which many candidates find challenging.
