Indeed, the verbal section is critical to your overall score.

Perhaps the most difficult section to improve in terms of time will probably be RC for most people. SC is definitely beatable. If you're short on time, you definitely want to maximize your effectiveness and master only as much as you need to know for the exam. This means not memorizing dozens of grammar rules, but rather coming up with an efficient thought process so you can study smart and approach exam questions already knowing where the booby traps are.
