One more question. Did the email tell you again that your status has been updated and you need to check the website, or does the email simply tell you "congrats, you're in"?

The email just say there is a new update to your status, so you still need to check back on the website. NYU doesn't inform anyone via email.

Admitted students,

How soon after the email notification was sent did you receive your packet in the mail?

sv,

Did you get in? Congrats!

After being waitlisted twice you cannot apply for one semester?

How did you improve your app?

lnaik,

I'm not exactly following your questions about applying for one semester, but I applied last spring, was waitlisted and then dinged. This semester I was waitlisted prior to being accepted. During the spring I enrolled in fordham's mba program and took a statistics class, got a 4.0 and that professor wrote a rec. for me. I was also promoted during the application process.

no, you don't need to skp a semester. you can continue applying every semester.

Hey SV,

How did you apply for an MBA (Fordham) program and took a stats class and then applied for another MBA program (NYU) after getting rec from your professor.
My question is-Is it possible to do that? Was thet Fordham a full time MBA program and now would you have to leave that MBA program?

Thanks-Umesh

sv, i wonder the same thing. do you enter into the MBA program, or just register for one course which is not counted toward any degree?

I enrolled @ Fordham and took one class last spring. I didn't take anything during the summer trimester. I will withdraw from Fordham and lose that credit since it won't transfer to NYU. NYU allows you to waive out of a course if you meet their requirements, but you still need to take 60 credits @ NYU, so you'd just need to add an elective. I'll probably decide to retake the class since it's a topic I'm now familiar with.

3.0 GPA
6 years work experience - financial services
significant career progression in the past 3 years
4.0 gpa - MBA stats course

Has anyone who applied to the Langone program received a call from the Executive MBA program admissions board? Does anyone know what the difference between the two are?
