trying_not_to_suck, when did you hear from them? today?

i don't think waitlisted is a bad thing. it's actually a nice way of them to tell you that they're actually thinking about taking you and they're just waiting to see what you're going to do about it in the next month or so. i'd take the gmat again if i were you. also, this is actually better than getting waitlisted 2 days before 12/1 and got rejected on 12/1. best of luck!

So whats the total count today?I still haven't booked my seat for another GMAT yet,just waiting for this week.I'm relying onto NYU prof's reco.

I got invited for an interview yesterday. I am meeting with them next week at the nyc campus. Have you recvd an invitation for interview as well?

Hey sixtnsense,

Did "you"ask for an interview or they themselves are calling you for an interview?
Does anybody know if it is a good sign or they want to check the validity/genuinity of your work experience/essays,etc?

As others have said, I'd assume that the interview is a good sign.

After all, they're not going to spend the time personally meeting someone who they're not interested in having as a student in the program.

i think this is great that you got invited for Interview. I have never heard Langone interviewing anyone, thought this is for full time candidates only. Good luck.

Per my assumption,they are giving preference to Diversity of candidates,so I would suggest all Indians around to stay relaxed and keep their fingers crossed.

That being said, out of curiosity, have any applicants other than of Indian-descent been accepted?

I think none of the Indians (whosoever is there in this forum) has been accepted.What say- guys??.I'm just assuming.

I have been. I see 6 indian names out of the 18 in the student database.
