Great idea greenoak! I'll probably go for Cambridge R1.5 as well...

Wish you all the best mate. Oxford is a really good school and left an impression on me when i sat in class this past february.

the reasons for my R2 deferral was that I had to come to New Zealand urgently from London a week before submission for family reasons. My essays were just okay and this was confirmed after showing them to some friends. They lacked punch (especially my essay 2). So rather than submit sub-par essays, I decided to get into R2.

Whatever happens with JBS and LBS, I will still apply to Oxford.

good luck to all who have submitted SBS R1 !!

Thanks buffdaddy! Reading and researching more about Oxford only increased my interest as I completed the application, so I definitely hope things will go well...

Thanks Teutonic,
I included you info too. Good luck with Cambridge!

For us waiting for JBS R1 results:

Also I read that some person emailed and asked JBS when will interview invites be sent out. They said that interview invites will be sent out "this week" but that was 4 days ago.

Thanks Buff, I think I found this forum too. There was a reply later about some person already receiving an interview invite (though posted not by this person himself) - also in December, like Zelda. I only hope that they didn't release all invites last week, and we still have a chance to hear a good news. Also there was some info on that forum that Cambridge acceptance rate is estimated to be near 12% this year. This figure seems quite realistic for me.

Anyway, good luck to all in the waiting club! Keep faith!

Hi freinds,
I also submited the Oxford application in R1, an hour before dealline :) . It was a tough call, the 2000 word essay really bugged me. I deliberated on pushing to R2 but then thought against it. Now I dare not read my nearly 2000 words of Mumbo Jumbo. May God have mercy on my essay Reviewer.
One plus for applying at the fag end of a round is the interview Invite date is not very far(Nov 14).

Best of luck to everyone!

Good luck, Devil!
I'm also afraid to look at my second so-called essay
I submitted in R1 because a) I believe R2 will be much worse than R1 b) my essay will not get that better :)

For those waiting for Cambridge decision: just saw a post at pagalguy confirming that the adcom is still working on apps (as of today, 27 of October). So we can expect some more invites. I really hope.

Hi Buffdaddy and everybody here,

Yes, it seems the date is close. Aside from 1 invite yesterday (info from BW forums), there are already 4 dings today (info from pagalguy) - and some for people with really strong profiles and GMATs.

Hi Greenoak,

it's 2am in Auckland, and Pagalguy's ongoing tally of dings today is keeping me up too.

i am worried.

I know that to advise you to relax and get some sleep would be useless, as I can hardly sleep myself these days. I'm in Eastern Europe; it's 15:15 here - no big difference from the UK time.
Anyways, let's keep faith. Our life will not end regardless of the result (I needed to write it to believe it...)

Friends!!!
Just received an interview invite from Cambridge! I'm so happy! Couldn't believe my eyes!
So there is hope for the rest of you here!
P.S. They did not specify the date: 24 of Nov or 1 Dec. I think I am allowed to choose?
