Hey congrats,thats a great score!!
What kind of questions did u encounter during the exam, especially in quant.Which topics u feel one should stress more on in quant?
Do u think the level of difficulty was the same as that of gmatprep exam?

Thanks,
Shreeraj

Hi Shreeraj,

First, the quant questions I encountered ranged across most of the key topics tested. I remember seeing questions on exponents, geometry, algebraic manipulation, rates, and number properties. I can't remember the split of quetions across these categories but I believe number properties was most heavily tested. One notable area that I did not see was probability.

Second, the difficulty level was very similar to GMATPrep. One thing I've always noticed about GMAT questions is that they are very elegantly written meaning the concept they are testing is very clear. This was in line with my experience on test day.

Hope that helps.

EDIT: I have amended my original note. Apologies for the double post.

In case anyone is interested, here is my official GMAT score breakdown:

Overall (Percentile): 750 (98)
Quant: 49 (83)
Verbal: 44 (97)
AWA: 6 (90)
IR: 4 (40)

I completely bombed the IR section. Pretty bummed about it - hopefully schools don't look too closely at it during the 2013 - 2014 application cycle.
