Yale lets you borrow as an international without a co-signer directly from the university. The rates are pretty mediocre, but I guess it's better than nothing!

Have any of the R1 admits activated their Yale NetID yet?

The Class of 2015 welcome page says we would be receiving an email with instructions of how to activate it? I haven't received one yet.

YES, I'M NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO DOESN'T HAVE INFO YET!! Ok...uhh...I asked adcom at admit weekend and they said they were still processing everything. I guess we just wait until we get an email.

Whoa! Really? If I'm not mistaken, you were one of the first to send your deposit and transcripts. I would have thought they would process things as soon as they got your money confirmation. :P

I received the email several weeks back, requested for a change in email, and had it activated immediately.

To all R3 folks: BEST OF LUCK! :)

I am a round 3 Applicant. Its been 2 weeks since i submitted my application but i have not heard from them as yet. Is this normal ? Have any of the round 3 applicants recieved an interview invite as yet ?

Someone here said he/she received an invite for an interview.

I applied R3 as well, and I've heard nothing. I think we're likely to be dinged if we don't get asked for an interview within the next week.

Anyone who has been accepted in the earlier rounds: do they release decisions on a rolling basis, or only on a specific date?

I think it was rolling.


For the consortium it's more of a rolling process, but with the regular rounds all decisions are released on the date they specified.

Me saying it was rolling has nothing to do with being a Consortium student. I have first hand knowledge from Admissions officers and admitted students stating that they received a phone call on different days.

I don't know about R2, but for R1 US-based applicants got calls all on the same day, which was the notification date posted on the website. There were some international students who were called the previous day (U.S. time), but it was already the decision date in their time zone. Again, R2 could have been different and I admittedly stopped paying attention after R1. :)
