hey there,
on the 8th of may ( thursday) i'll be taking the GMAT exame.
i was wondering about this CAT tests and parcitulary the scoring accuracy of the gmat prep program.
1st test i took : Q44, had 16 wrong questions , #: (4,5,9,10,11.12.13.17.18.21.22.31.32.35.36,37)- as u can see, most of them (5 back to back) ta the beginning, and at the end lots of them back to back as well.
2nd test i took: Q42 had 10 wrong questions , #: (2.3.4.12.21.22.23,34,37)- as u can see, 2 sets of back to back wrong answers where the biggest sequance is 4, and is in the middle.
Now, i know its a "CAT " but none the less, it dosent make any sense at all, that the 2nd test score is 42 while the first is 44. According to what the test makers says is that if u get a wrong question your next question will worth less and be easier so my guess is that due to this 3 incorrect answers at the beginning my questions level droped alot? but yet again in the 1st test i have questions 4,5 and 9-13 wrong.
I saw a similer test resulsts from some one and he got aprox 49, I'm aware to the fact that you can't comper 1 test taker to another but still, was wondering what could have gone worng?
my test is soon and i need a score of 44, most of the tests i took were 10-15mistakes overall and usually i scored 46-44 and all of a sudden this score.
asking for your help and experiance with this tests to help me out with understanding it since i'm bit scared due to this grade.
sincerely yours,
freezy.
