Great score - note on using the Economist to prepare... [#permalink]
That's outstanding Christoph, those quantitative scores are stratospheric. I'm a native New Yorker who reads the Economist and Financial Times religiously (both British publications), and agree that they are probably the best material to read to sharpen your critical reasoning skills, because they are so well researched and tightly written.

One note of caution, though, for those that use them to prepare for the GMAT, is that you have to be careful not to pick up their idioms and pronoun usage, which are (slightly in the case of the Economist, moreso in the FT) different than the canonical American uses that show up on the test. I realized that I had picked up British grammar over the years, and was getting some Sentence correction questions wrong because of it.

Anyway, outstanding on your part. Best of luck!

Hey Christoph,

I guess you're one step ahead of the game here, I'm still waiting to hear from Insead- ... do you know how it works- does this mean I'm already out if I don't hear back by Friday?

Thx,

Mimac

i had my interview at IMD. it was quite tough and lasted for abt 6 hours. it included: two interviews, a class attendance, a case discussion, a lunch and an impromptu presentation.

Hey christoph.
Congratulations from me too on your achievements. I am really interested in IMD and would appreciate some information on the application process, the essays and the interviews. I can see from their brochures that they value diversity and would appreciate your inside view in whether a candidate with unconventional background does stand a chance.
I hope that, provided you decide to attend IMD, we will share more than a taste in music.
