Based on my experience of being admitted, i can say that:

- Usually students choose something that have also economic impacts
- you have to think carefully on the topic and on how you will present it
- as suggestion prepare no more that 5 slides

Re: Presentation Topics [#permalink]
Sometimes you can select a topic from a list and sometimes you can chose any topic under the sun - think about what they are trying to gauge.

Pick a topic that
you are familiar with, but not technical in nature
allows you to demonstrate learning/growth in your personal life
you are passionate about or can interview/discuss in some level of detail

Focus on maintaining eye contact, calmness in your voice, some slight tone variation, confidently respond to answers and don't rush through what you are saying - its often a matter of slowing your mind rather than talking too fast

Hope this helps

Re: Presentation Topics [#permalink]
It is very difficult for me to correctly and competently come up with a presentation topic. And the presentation itself is not easy, once I found this file, which helped me a lot. I think this is important, because the assessment depends on it and, most importantly, the availability of information for the audience.
