Hi Nik11! Since you mention SC as your specific area of concern, thought I would mention that our sentence correction book Sentence Correction Nirvana is perhaps the only book that offers a score improvement guarantee, and is especially designed for non-native speakers.

After reading the book twice (yes! it's an academic book, and so must be read twice in all seriousness, to reinforce the concepts), you will start looking forward to solving SC questions!

The book is available on Flipkart and Amazon.in. You might want to refer to these sites, to also read testimonials of how readers have benefited.

You can als go thru this post on how Soubhik, who scored V51 (overall score 780), vouches for our book.

If you want to sample a chapter before deciding to go ahead with our book, please PM me your mail-id (along with the chapter that you would like to sample) and I will be happy to send that chapter to you by mail. In addition, the entire Grammar section of the book is also available for free preview at pothi.

I thought, but my acc is still very low at 700-level. When I tried to improve my accuracy in the 600-700 level, after 20-30 questions I grasped very important patterns and I have hugely improved. However, at this level each explanation provided by the experts seems very ankward. I mean, it seems that there are thousands of rules. During the last 3 days I made 40 SC questions at 700 level, 14 of which right.... I'm very frustrated with SC.

I agree that there are many rules pertaining to grammar. But the process of elimination becomes when you actually look it from the meaning stand-point. So, try to blend both the ways so that you take the advantage of both the methods. I hope you have watched the recording I shared with you. We, in our course, try to teach the basics right from the reading, breaking the sentence at regular intervals and then comprehending it. It might look tedious in the beginning but it's all worth at the end. So, try to inculcate the methodical approach and you will start seeing the results. You can get in touch with me over a call if you have any doubts. You can even check the SC module in the free trial of GMATWhiz. That will give you a better idea. All the best!!
