enigma1504:
Thank you for tagging us. Our thoughts:
Need help as a waitlisted candidate at Tepper. How should I proceed.
--> See my point below about a point person on the AdCom assigned to the waitlist. However, in general, you should do some self-reflection on why you did not get in outright. Do you have a self-identified weakness? You gave us very little information beyond just GMAT (and I don't know the split between the Q and V scores), years of experience and a general company description. What about GPA? Undergrad school? Extracurricular activities? There is a limit to what you can do to improve your chances of moving up or off of the waitlist, but there are SOME ways It all depends on which areas you need to close the gap. Whatever the antidote is, you should put together a small update package that you should promptly send to the AdCom.
Will need to relook at essays and resume, majorly resume fix.
--> I am not sure there is much you can do here. You had your opportunity to put together polished essays and a resume. I have never heard of anyone re-submitting essays. Those are kind of set in stone. I can't imagine the AdCom is open to receiving new drafts unless they specified confusion around something such as your career goal.
GMAT 700 5 years work ex in a fast-growing multi billion$ startup
--> This sounds great. I doubt your scores or work experience were an issue. Nothing needed here though how did you do on the Q and V sub-scores of the GMAT?
Who can I reach out to?
--> If you were put on the waitlist there should be a contact or at least a general email you can message for help. If that is for some reason not the case, I would either call (412-268-5687) or email (
mba-admissions@andrew.cmu.edu and start navigating your way through the process.
Good luck!
