Hi, can someone elaborate on what is the difference between different MBA interviews such as MBA Finance Interview or MBA Strategic Interview for the KATZ MBA program?

Hey, I was invited for the Katz MBA – MIS/IT Consulting Interview. The interview questions were straight forward and in no way related to Consulting. I believe the same could be applicable for other types of interviews as well.

The interview questions I faced were:

1. Tell me about your current responsibilities at your company.
2. Why MBA.
3. Why Katz.
4. Elaborate upon a leadership experience you've had recently and what you learned from it.
5. Have you ever engaged in community service activities.
6. Have you ever worked with a cross-functional/cross-culturatl team, if you have then could you explain how did you resolve conflicts among team members.
7. Which other colleges have you applied to.

You could also refer to the interview debrief section of Katz on Gmat Club for more information 😀

There is no difference, I guess.
The interviewer won't ask you any technical stuff. It feels more like a conversation rather than a typical interview.
Expect some behavioral and situational questions along with common questions like Run me through you resume, Why MBA, Why Now, Goals etc.

Hi Rishabh,

I had my interview on 23rd October and it went by pretty swiftly and lasted for approximately 30 mins. My interviewer, Mr. Thomas Keller, gave a brief introduction of UPitt and Katz before getting started. The interview questions I was asked have been enlisted in a previous post of mine. I had my unofficial confirmation of admittance on 24th October and the formal conformation came a few weeks later.

Hello.

Thank you :)

Yes, I received a merit scholarship of 40k USD. It was granted to me by the AdCom and the details were mentioned in the admission letter.

Have you been admitted to the program ?

My interview was conducted by Tre Coles but he wrapped it up in slightly less than 15 minutes

not sure what it means...maybe they filled all the slots already
