Do not include your internship during college in the employment section. As per the instructions, "Include any significant part-time or summer employment since college, and explain any gaps in employment."

However, it is reasonable to include your internship in the Activities section of the application since the instructions state "List your extracurricular activities while in college, including any positions held, honors or awards received, and dates of participation, in order of importance to you. Include employer, job responsibilities, hours per week, and dates held for each position."

How necessary is the family background information? It's not marked as required and it seems like superfluous information.

I filled it out anyway, thinking just what you are thinking. I believe it's for informational purpose only. If you fill it out - good, if you don't fill it out - good :-)

I filled it out as well - I grew up in Charlottesville and my parents still live there, so I was hoping that listing my parents address as Charlottesville, something would click and make me stand out....Guess it didn't work too well, I still haven't received an interview invite.

I elected not to fill it out. My mom was at work (she's an RN working night shifts) and my dad was with a friend who lost their brother today...seemed to be less than important at the moment. Officially submitted my app now.

Hello
I have applied in the first round (early decision) for Darden.
However my application status still shows pending
Does anybody of you have any suggestions ?

Is it ok if i write a mail to the adcom to check or is it normal to remain in pending so long ...now 2 MONTHS :(
