Re: Calling Chicago GSB 2008 applicants [#permalink]
The only time I went was for the interview, and I think I was too busy thinking about the interview to do anything else. The flight cancellations which made me get into Chicago the morning of my interview instead of the night before definitely didn't help.

bherronp.. You based in Chicago? What are you planning on doing to get off the dreaded WL?

My job profile has changed over the last 3 months so I'll write about that in a note and visit GSB (this time without any flight difficulties I hope). Can't think of much else to do besides that.

Nope, I am based in Seattle. I am not sure what to do to try to get off the waitlist. I have been brain storming. Hopefully inspiration will strike. My job hasn't changed much.

Good luck getting off the waitlist and finding inspiration. I hope we can both get off the waitlist.

I assume you're going to Michigan if you don't get into Chicago?

All my eggs are in the Chicago GSB basket and I really do not want to think about reapplying next year.

Can't blame you for enjoying that :)

Just a question though, aren't most internships in the summer quarter (June - Aug) or are you doing your VC internship along with classes this quarter?

I am doing it... I'm just working part time during spring quarter. Technically, I'm working as part of a class - the Private Equity / Venture Capital lab.

Oh cool, thought you were full time. That makes sense now. Will definitely have to pick your brain next year regarding VC internships. :)

So, you're working Part time in spring and are going to be working full time in the summer?

I hope to be picking your brain about this too.

Congrats, rhyme! You are the man :)

This fall I will need to ask you many questions regarding the VC/PE club.

Yep, made official... I was already leaning towards Chicago. Since I only applied to 2 schools, and that's the one I got as Kellogg didn't want me, the choice was even easier...

We once had a TNDC focused on bad pickup lines... There are two I remember that made me laugh my arse off.

"The GSB: Where the only thing that goes down on you is your GPA" (not exactly a pickup line, but funny anyway)

"If you were like my homework, you'd be long and hard and I'd be doing you all night long." (obviously said by a girl to a guy)
