This may have been answered, but if you apply ED, and get accepted, will they help you get set up with financial aid to cover your $6k deposit? or is it too quick and you are on your own for the deposit? if the latter, what's the earliest you can recover that through aid/loans

thanks

What's the deal here? Still total silence on interview invites on BW. I submitted my app around 2 weeks after ED opened so I don't expect to hear anything yet, but I would have expected day 1 submitters to have invites by now. This is pushing back the date I was expecting/hoping to hear...

I was wondering, since Columbia is known for pumping out strong Finance MBA grads, would it be wiser to apply to a school more diverse like Chicago GSB or Northwestern?

Or would it be wiser for a career switcher, for example engineering to IB, to go to Columbia where Finance MBA is their strong point?

Re: Calling all Columbia Applicants for 2009! [#permalink]
So I'm trying to plan either a visit to Columbia or to attend an info session on the road. I live in WI and am trying to find a session close by - the closest is Indianapolis (still a 5 hr or so drive) or Minneapolis (on a day I'm travelling to MI). Anyone know if they'll be posting more dates/locations? I'd really rather not take time off to fly out there....

thanks!

One other (reapp) ED offer being reported on BW, application went under review 8/19 and interview invite 9/5. Offer made 9/15, the same day interview feedback was received. Another (reapp) interview invite for someone who went under review 8/27.

The process seems to be moving along, just no love for us GMATClubbers yet. :?

Submitted app today! along with Wharton, Yale, Cornell and Stern

As the originator of this CBS thread - I must say I take a lot of pride that this thread has become one of the most popular threads on the forum! Maybe I should have included that in my achievements :)

Good luck to you, sterny. It must have been a lot of work submitting all five schools' applications.

The CBS thread is always the busiest on any forum early in the app season because all the ED applicants dominate over all other applicants :P

After submitting my application, I got a notice that my application was printed and being prepared for review and it could take three to four weeks depending on the volume of submitted applications. This was 9/22.

And I got this notice today 9/23.
Quote:
Your application is complete and is currently under review by the Admissions Committee. You can expect to hear either a final decision or an invitation to interview from us within 10 weeks of receiving this message. Please keep in mind that an invitation to interview can come at any point in the evaluation process.

I guess it is within 10 weeks after the review, not after the submission.

Guys,

One more offer for admission reported on BW Forums. The person who is a reapp submitted on 08/08 and got the offer yesterday.
