In A we have ---> Although X, not Y ( which i think is wrong) .... also .. "it" has no clear referent In C we have ---> it .. no clear referent

Also B for me, my POE as follows:
Eliminated D,E first as the phrase "then also later" is not idiomatic. Eliminated A,C because they refer to the "hearings" in the singular ("which was"); I think its a plural, so should be "which were".

Forgot to note the unusal use of "which": "Which" in answer choices of this sentence doesnot refer to the noun immidiately preceding it. In normal case, "that/which/who" refers to the noun immidiately preceding it.
