Re: Calling all Columbia Applicants for 2009! [#permalink]
... still no one on a waitlist yet?

This is definitely not "normal". I remember people getting waitlisted very early in the cycle last year.

(of course karma will make sure I'm the first WL of the season! yay)

btw... a bew stats from the BW spreadsheet:

Code:
Decision   Avg days to Interview   Avg days to Decision
A         27,50                           43,83
A-Reapp   20,17                           41,71
D         21,33                           37,67
D-Reapp   37,00                           50,20

2 people just got Deferred. I think looking at the timeline this year, the admissions people were really far behind this year.

I think those stats don't mean much anymore, since I think there are so many application that were submited the last week, I think the wait times will dramatically increase.

If you really have a lot of time, then you can start preparing for the interviews by recording and listening to your answers,,, will definitely help you eventually..

What is the normal turn around time to go from Invite to Interview -> Complete status?

I interviewed on 11/7 and my application page still shows "Invite to Interview" - however when I click on "Interviews" (for example to schedule one)..I get a message saying - Sorry no Interviews can be scheduled at this time - Is this the "COMPLETE" status?

Your interviewer hasn't submitted his/her feedback yet if it still says "Invite to Interview." They're given a week to do so, and Admissions is pretty diligent about following up with them.

Went into complete status today.

sterny, sorry to hear that.

Can someone initiate a roll-call on the first page? If I have time over the weekend I can try. I'll break it up into ED and RD.

I honestly think my interview went good. I had prepared for the questions that were asked - leadership, teamwork, ethical, why cbs, why mba. It was a conversational interview, and I don't recall any awkwardness or difficult conversation pieces. It went fairly smoothly.

The recommender even said he would recommend me for admission - so I don't think the interview was the problem.

As I said before in a separate thread, maybe our fates are sealed before we even walk into the interview...I guess there is some truth to it.

I got Wharton and Cornell interviews next - hoping my fate is sealed the right way there :)
