Re: USC MBT [#permalink]
As of now, private loans from large banks seem to be the way to go. I was able to obtain a very low fixed interest rate, which is better than any government funded loan offered.

2009 USC MBT Applicants?... [#permalink]
I am applying for 2009 to USC and Cal State Fullerton.

my stats:

3.279 cumulative GPA
3.978 major GPA (in Economics from USC) <- yes, I got my B.A. there.
650 GMAT
4 AWA
I am working for the essay right now....

as you can tell.. my gmat is lower than the average.
Plus, I had already once applied for MAcc last year, but, I was rejected. I didn't even get a call for an interview. :shocked

Could you guys please evaluate my chance?

Thank you and happy new year!

Hi Bella,

USC has one of the strongest (in reputation) program in the west coast. Regardless of fluctuation in rankings every year, USC attracts top applicants for their MS Accounting/Taxation programs due to their ability to place students into top accounting firms.

As you've mentioned, your GMAT score is slightly below the norm, but it's still very solid.

Another factor they consider is your work experience (in yrs and quality).

You can make a strong case for yourself by communicating your need/goal in the essays.

How are you planning on answering their essays?

You don't have to mention that you were rejected last year. They will know when you indicate on the application where they ask you if you've applied to USC previously.
