I am also an R1 waitlist who was admitted recently. I'm an MMM candidate.

I only sent one update to the adcom, in early February. I was actually trying to get in touch with the AdCom to get some feedback in early March and instead, they called me 2 days later with the good news.

The AdCom member actually made a comment to me that she liked how I handled being on the waitlist. I'm not sure exactly what to make of that comment.

Anyways, there is hope out there.

According to the admissions blog from a couple weeks ago, it said that they expected to release most R1 WL decisions in "the next week or two." It's been two and a half weeks:

Waitlisted past Friday... (R2)

Is it safe to assume that R2 WLers will see movement closer towards R3 decision date (mid May)?

I was recently presented with an offer from another B-school (Washington U, Olin) I couldn't refuse so I'll likely be taking my name off the waitlist. Good luck to the rest of you!
