Does anyone know 1) if all Super Saturday invitations have gone out and 2) whether not receiving one bodes poorly for getting a Haas invite at all?

I applied R1, for roll call purposes.

Super Sat invites are far from done. Read Kryzak's posts in this thread. If you don't get one then yeah you probably aren't getting accepted.

Hey all.. just drop by to say hi! I'm new here in Gclub. Haas is so far the first school that I apply to. I am still trying to get my essays done but nowhere near finishing..

Worst comes to worst I might not be able to make it for Round 2. Looking at the statistics for last year, it seems like only a couple of people applying for Round 3 (and no admits! ). Should I try my best to submit round 2 by all means? Or take my time to put together the best application possible for round 3?

One more thing, anyone knows if Haas merits scholarship tends to be given out to earlier applicants? What are the more important criteria for Haas merits scholarship? Is it high GMAT scores? Career success? Or the overall strong application?

Any international applicants received an invite yet ? I presume the international interview invitations will go out after Super Saturday (like last year). Has anyone on the international front heard anything ?

Round 3 should have the same statistics as R1 and R2, since R3 for Haas is similar to R2 in other schools. Not sure why the statistics on GMATClub for R3 is not so good, but overall the chances aren't that much different. The biggest difference is that you might miss a lot of the scholarship deadlines that are offered and if you get waitlisted, you have a lower chance of getting off the W/L because R1 and R2 waitlisted people get reevaluated after every decision deadline, whereas R3 W/L people pretty much have to wait through the summer to see if anyone drops out.

As for Haas Merit scholarship, it's based on strength of overall application, and is given to less than 10% of the admits. I think R3 people have the same statistics as other rounds, but I'm not sure, so that may be a question you want to check with the Admissions office.

Does anyone know if your "application status" changes once you get an interview invite or if it remains "under review?" I submitted on the R1 deadline. Anyone get invites that submitted on the deadline?

My status changed to "invited to interview". I submitted on the R1 deadline with a few hours to spare. I wouldn't worry if you haven't heard anything yet - it seems there are a lot of invites still to come. The invite requested an RSVP by 12/14, so perhaps most of the invites would be sent by then (total speculation on my part). Good luck to all.

Hello All,

I am struggling to meet the 250 word limit for essays such as "2. Tell us about your most significant accomplishment.".

I have a good essay with 277 words. Do you think I should restrict it to exactly 250 and cut down on the important content?

Thanks

I'd have someone else read it and ask them to cut a sentence. I'ts much harder to cut on your own.

If you go by the +/- 10% rule, you're still over. I would try to take it down a bit more.

At what point should those hoping for Super Saturday invitations start getting nervous? Anyone have any idea how much time is left?

I have heard that most invites will go out by mid-december. Let's say December 17th-ish.

Aside: This could be completely false information.
