Not even so, we cannot cash in the 10 cents :( ...it's just a ticket with "choose another lottery ticket for free" :?

As a future possibility, not as an option for us to decide now: "If you are not successful in joining the class this year, we will consider you for a place in the class of MBA2013."

Dinged. This really really hurts, as LBS was my first and only school - really wanted this program (and London too for personal reasons). Still in a state of shock, as most of the feedback I had was that my overall profile was interesting, gmat scores were good enough (which clearly isn't all that important for LBS I guess). My interviewer said he'd given me a very good recommendation as well. I was hoping for an admit next year but that's completely out now - not even an invitation to reapply.

Serves me right for putting all my eggs in one basket. Time to pick up the pieces and start fresh rounds of application for 2011.

The LBS waitlist really is a dangerous game, given how late the list is maintained vs. the course commencement. From this forum and BW, there doesn't seem to have been much movement from the WL which potentially means the number of deferred admissions might turn out to be low as well.
All the best to JV, vodkacran and a11c99 - hope you guys make it!

:( Really sorry for u buddy!!!! Have u received an invite to re-apply? Any thoughts on "plan B" (IE/INSEAD/Cranfield)?
4test1 - best of luck next year! Please do apply for several BS, LBS may be the best, but for sure is not the only one to help you reach your goals ...

vodkacran, JV - hope we'll hear some good news until August 23th. :?

good luck man!
i recommend to reapply in any case, shows school your determination.....
your gmat score is indeed quite good (as per your info also interview). i don't know how much work experience you have...also it is important to have accurate and very individual/ exhaustive recommendations....

in london there are couple of good bschools, for mba and other masters (finance/mgmt) sometimes with open enrollment, so still time to apply....eventually u can also apply to insead jan 2011 intake....
cheers

I'm still on WL like some of you. It seems that they cut down the waitlist this time, since some people unfortunately were dinged. It also seems that our real odds are for the class of 2013 by now (if we handle to stay in the waitlist till August 23rd).

Best wishes to all of you.

dinged, as well. Again for posterity, I took the ESADE offer back in April and might have written off the 8000 euro deposit. There is life after the LBS waitlist. And it's quite good. If I learned anything through all of this, don't put all your eggs in one basket. All the best from sunny Barcelona, and good luck to all of you still hanging in. Hope you beat the system!

I would definitely accept an offer for MBA2013 class if it comes, since I don't have other options and LBS has always been my first choice.
