wow, was it as dead as R2 2 days before the deadline? Booth was also closed for 2 days during R2. I wonder if they'll still be able to review all the applications by the 2/16 deadline.
pg 34 on this thread is the last day for R1, so scroll back to say 30sh, and you can find out how many people got an invite that Monday(yes R1 deadline was a Wednesday).
Yea i checked and it was about 3-4 people. Considering about twice as many people apply in R2, I would think we would have more today. Maybe people aren't as excited to report on gmatclub.

Almost everyone reports their invite within 24 hrs. Any way, tomorrow 9:05 am we'd know for sure.

6 seperate parts are graded - Test scores, Quality of academics, work ex, EC, Essays, Recos

"An applicant’s entire file then goes to one of six associate directors of admission for a second review. Typically, the students will spend one and one-half hour to two hours on each application. Admissions officials may give the typical application another half hour or so."
"Interviewers grade the candidates on the same one to six scale. Once the interview report comes in, the file is then given to another admissions director who has not yet seen it. That person does an assessment of the entire file, deciding whether to admit, deny, or put the decision to a committee of the six admissions directors and Ahlm"
"All admit and deny recommendations go to Ahlm,senior director of admissions, for final decisions. It’s rare for him to override a recommendation, but every year there are several cases where he may turn a deny into an admit or an admit into a deny"

If "FIFO" is the order of the day, then nobody whose application went complete on or before 1/10 should have any hope whatsoever. Thanks for the post !

Good read, thanks for the link Tradeoff. I know it doesn't affect the bottom line much, but reading the article had a calming effect for whatever reason.

Can anybody suggest what I should do for the off campus interview?
My original interviewer is not available so I had to email the school for assigning another one for me. I followed the instructions in the system and wrote an email to the school. It's been over 36 hours and I have not heard anything back...

Have you tried calling them?!? I'm sure ad coms get drowned by emails during admissions season - nothing works better than getting them on the phone!

Had my on-campus interview today. VERY conversational, in fact I think I was only asked 3 questions before we ran out of time (on-campus interviews can't really go over). (1) Walk me through your resume (2) Why Booth (3) Example of leadership. I was really impressed with my overall visit today, really hope I get admitted.
FYI - AdCom said they had already awarded a lot of scholarships in R1 (implying it was a strong applicant pool). R2 applicants will have a harder time getting $$$. Also, AdCom said they had been more selective with their interview invites for R2.

I know some people who got invited a few days ago and their apps went complete on 1/4 so don't count yourself out yet! ...although it's probably best to try to not mull over it too much

My application went complete on 15th January. Received and invitation on February 8th only. International applicant (Russia).
My interview was very informal and conversational. Surprisingly, was not stressed at all. Questions were quite standard: why Booth, why MBA, why now, best team-work experience, worst team-work experience, who do you admire (leader). Very liked the experience and how the alum described his school times.

Officially at 9:05 CST, it may take upto 10 minutes for the email to show up. So yes 9:15 CST is a safe stop time.
