That depends,
When you took the GMAT you were asked if GMAC could release your details, If you ticked yes then your profile is accessible for B-school admissions teams.
Generally the adcoms will send out a mass email to everyone who has taken the test and who fulfills their criteria. If you're getting emails from top schools then that would suggest that you did pretty well on your GMAT exam. As a rule of thumb, if the email is nicely formatted and contains a bunch of graphics, it's a mass email. If it looks like someone has typed out a quick note or it asks you to do something specific (St Gallen, asked my to interview with them at a specific time) then it was probably written by someone who has taken a deeper interest in you.
Another dead giveaway is if the email offers you the option to unsubscribe from further communication.
I would see getting emails from these schools as a positive thing, but don't assume that because they have emailed you you're guaranteed a place.
