Hi guys
I definitely had one of the worst days in my life today.
I gave the gmat last year around this time and scored a 650.
I did apply to a couple of colleges and got through a decent US University with some scholarship, but i thought i should give another shot at gmat and aim for a better school.
The first time my break up was Mat-49 and Verbal-29,so i knew i had to get atleast a 35 in verbal to get a score of 700.
i started working on my verbal and after learning most of the concepts i gave practice tests.
My practice test scores were:
Gmat prep 1: 710 math-50 and verbal -35
Gmat prep 2: 720 Math 49 and verbal 38
Manhattan 1: 700 math 47 and verbal 39
Manhattan 2: 680 math 49 and verbal 34
manhattan 3: 710 math 50 and verbal 36
manhattan 4 : 690 math 48 and verbal 35
As i did not get a single score less than 34-35 in verbal in any test, i thought i should give the gmat now.
I went ahead and gave the exam today
to my horror i again scored a 650 Math: 48 and verbal 32
I was astonished first as i scored a 48 in math , which is lower than my earlier score and scored a 32 in verbal , which i have never got in any practise test.
I dont really know what to do now, how to go ahead and improve my score. I felt uneasy during the english part but still never thought i will get 32.I am starting to think that gmat is not for me.
I dont know guys what to do, i am desperate to get into a good mba program, i have all the other credentials but just this score is haunting me.
Guys plz suggest what to do, should i give it another shot .
Are mock papers a true representation of your real scores?
How to go about it now?
Kindly give your views.
