I'm curious, how would you rank the INSEAD MIM compared to the HEC MIM and its double degree offerings?
If it may add more context, I'm a EU citizen, French B2 speaker but, clearly, not a French national. Target is to remain within the EU, not necessarily France, but unsure whether to go Consulting, Luxury or Industry yet. Bachelor in humanities.
It seems that the INSEAD programme is still far weaker than HEC and the employment report is miles behind HEC. Does the 1 year structure really hinder as much as imagined?
HEC on the other hand seems super well fleshed out and a much safer option.
In short, INSEAD seems to have a cool vibe but no cigar as of now, while HEC looks like the real deal even though its not as innovative.
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

When I was at INSEAD campus a few years ago, I found myself in a discussion about their newly launched MiM program with some INSEAD officials. The bottom line here is that whenever business schools sense a demand and spot a gap in the market, they swoop in to fill it (and, naturally, monetize it quite well). The demand for the MiM program came from its target audience – hustlers and high-potential young aspirants who want the INSEAD brand but don't necessarily need or want an extensive immersion program like the one offered by HEC Paris.
In my honest opinion, the INSEAD MiM primarily targets freshers from Asian and South Asian economies who aspire to study and work abroad. Having worked in France for a considerable period, I can attest that nothing quite compares to the prestige of the HEC MiM. In fact, the idea of pursuing an MBA is still relatively new and can be seen as a deviation from the norm (at least, that was the case at the French company where I worked). On the other hand, the INSEAD MiM program capitalizes on the widely popular global INSEAD brand. Those who know how to leverage this branding effectively will succeed no matter what. However, if you have a more conservative view of what the "INSEAD" brand can truly bring to MiM candidates, I recommend that HEC Paris offers better value for your money.
