I have already sent to a few deferred MBA programs (graduating in 2020), but not Wharton. I am debating whether to send it , as I am not sure if my profile is worthwhile for *Wharton*.
Looking forward to your genuine insights! (if profile is worthwhile, which points do I need to focus more on for Wharton)

Hi
deyaaaThanks for posting.
- While your undergrad GPA is great and your GRE score strong, you could enhance the GRE score by a bit for Wharton
- Your undergrad institution - depends on which one it is. If you are, for example, a BITS Pilani graduate, then you are fine. If a lesser-known private university, then that gets you much less credit.
- Some decent leadership experiences and initiatives there, and credit for the conferences may depend on what they were. For example, if you were involved with HPAIR, that is significantly better than lets say a couple of local conferences.
- The social/COVID help initiatives are decent too, but one is remote, and the other is more personal. Again, not saying they don't count (they certainly do, and compliments on your hard work there) but would they be enough to differentiate you?
- What would you list down as that defining accomplishment(s) that would differentiate you as a Wharton early career applicant?
- Overall, chance seem around medium for Wharton. The major factor that can be possibly enhanced at this point is your GRE score.
