Question for Kellogg student

Hello
A few of us on the Kellogg forum have a disagreement as to how to interpret the essay question-
Assume you are evaluating your application from the perspective of a student member of the Kellogg Admissions Committee. Why would you and your peers select you for admission, and what impact would you make as a member of the Kellogg community? (600 word limit).
I am of the opinion that both aspects, viz. why would you choose the candidate for admission and what impact would she have, are to be from the perspective of a student evaluator of the application. There are others that think that the two parts are to be separated - the first part handled as a student evaluating it, and the second part written as yourself.
It would be great if a current student who has written this essay can clarify this.
Thanks!
