I am trying to figure out which schools to apply for, primarily to set an realistic goal for my GMAT score. Any advices or pointers would be greatly appreciated.
What I am looking for(1) if the schools are in the US, I would love the perks of
STEM recognitions so that I could enjoy the benefits of extended visa allowing me to get a work experience in the US after graduation.
(2) Currently, I guess the UK would be more realistic for me: I am confident I'd get a good job in the UK after graduation, as I spent 3 years working at Fortune 500 banks/companies on a working holiday visa. And I love London and Europe. Problem is I'm not seeing any programs particularly focus on the fields of my interest, which brings me to the next school selection criteria:
(3) I am interested in
risk management that involves some level of
data analytics or even
financial engineering. Now, I am not from math or computer science background, and I have to make peace with the fact that financial engineering is beyond my reach. Regardless, I do Coursera courses in the related field and have been learning to code with Python. Additionally, I have been pursuing CFA, primarily because the curriculums help to deepen my understanding of risk measurements in the financial markets.
Where should I look? I've been searching online aimlessly for a while, mainly by going into the school's webpages digging info. So far not much happening... Am I daydreaming?
Curious to hear about your thoughts
Thanks!
