But option D - states - on ANY threat they do some form of meditation 
which is not supported in the passage

Isn't bad weather is threat to locals who do farming. hence i think option D is as per passage, and option E that says "The ritual meditation that Sarrin monks practice daily is largely undisciplined." is contradicting with passage because Pran meditation technique is "a more highly disciplined form of the ritual meditation that the monks practice daily."

Is option B not possible? The Pran meditation technique is mentioned to be highly disciplined so it not taking place as per a "precisely regulated schedule" is sort of contradictory.

The daily ones are largely undisciplined, not the Pran ones. And the monks switch to Pran ONLY when extreme weather conditions show up. So Idk how E could be an answer. Also "largely undisciplined" is certainly not "too extreme."
