A. The usage reveal X to be Y is incorrect.
B. The usage reveal X to be Y is incorrect. It is better to use the relative pronoun who when referring to a person.
D. Rudolf was still the infamous "cardscare" when the The Global Times revealed the fact. The use of past perfect is not required in such cases. Moreover the use of past perfect implies that Rudolf happened to be the infamous "cardscare" before he leaked the RSA information.
Moreover It is better to use the relative pronoun who when referring to a person.
E. The clause Rudolf Coetzee to be .......... to the press lacks a verb. The infinitive to be is not a verb.
C. Correct. The verb was correctly depicts that Rudolf was still the infamous "cardscare" when the The Global Times revealed the fact.

I want to add that :

Reveal to can only be used with a noun. As in : he revealed the plot to me.

For actions, we must always use revealed that.

Except that you pretty much caught all my traps. Kudos to you.

The past perfect in option E looks correct since he leaked the information first and then was called the cardscare.
