Re: GMAT Club Around The World!!! As a result of zealous conservation effo [#permalink]
As a result of zealous conservation efforts, the southern white rhinoceros has experienced an impressive revival; its count is now 10 times greater than the count when the species was placed on the endangered animals list in the 1980s.

Solution:

(A) revival; its count is now 10 times greater than: Correct

(B) revival; its count now 10 times more than: Greater is preferred over more when comparing numbers/figures etc.

(C) revival, they now count 10 times greater than: " the southern white rhinoceros has experienced" indicates that the pronoun "they" refers to a singular subject but the pronoun used is plural.

(D) revival, now with 10 times greater a count than: now with seems to modify revival or the nearest noun, leading to wrong interpretation.

(E) revival; it now has a count 10 times greater than: It refers to the southern white rhinoceros. Accordingly, the sentence means that the southern white rhinoceros has a count or possesses a count, this makes no sense.
