URGENT - study plan

Hi, I just booked my test date for October 14th. I have exactly 30 days to prepare for gmat.

I have been doing basics since a long time. and now need to start preparing as required for this test.

Please I need suggestions how should I pursue my prep and plan a schedule. I have so much of material that I am confused from where to study and what not.

Please guide me the right approach keeping in mind the timeline.

Check this out: A study plan for 2-weeks that has helped me if you are really disciplined. In my case, I had other priorities and wanted to finish off official material, which has been a slower strategy to address your study needs.

So, you have around 25-26 days, assuming that you will not study 1-2 days in between and 1-2 days just before GMAT. Here are some advice :
1. Stick to official resources for verbal. Strictly, no third party materials for verbal. The only exception is LSAT sets. If you can stick to official materials and can use them in the best possible ways, those "too much" is required.
2. Take no more than 2 tests - so you can use the two free ones from MBA.com
3. Since you are already done with the basics, you need to know how to play the game. Go and take your first practice test as soon as possible to see where you stand - the next step is to customize your prep.

Before I can offer you the specific advice that you’re looking for, it would help if you could provide a bit more information on how you've been studying and your goals:

Studies:
1) What type of study routine have you been following?
2) What study materials have you used?
3) How have you scored on each of your CATs (including the Quant and Verbal Scaled Scores)?

Goals:
4) What is your goal score?
5) When are you planning to apply to Business School?
6) What Schools are you planning to apply to?

Hi rich

1) I don't have a fixed routine as of now. I have been doing the basics from the past 2 months with gaps.
2) I have been using Manhattan guides for quant , power score for CR and top one percent material for SC and RC
3) I haven't given a mock yet since I haven't practiced any questions yet
4) My goal score is between 650-700
5) I am planning for Round 2, fall intake 2018
6) I'm looking at CUNY, Temple, SUNY for now.

Hi

Probably you have learned all the concepts needed for the GMAT, As one month is left now so better to overcome your weak areas, revise your doubted concepts with 4-5 days and practice questions related to them, when it is done, take CATs, upto 5 CATs (as only one month is left) are enough for your practice, take them in real sense real environment, review your result of all CATs and in the last PRAY

Hi jaslinsingh25,

Since you have not taken any CATs yet, you really MUST take a FULL-LENGTH practice CAT Test soon (perhaps this weekend); you can download 2 for free from www.mba.com (and they come with some additional practice materials). That score will give us a good sense of your natural strengths and weaknesses and will help provide a basis for comparison as you continue to study. A FULL CAT takes about 4 hours to complete, so make sure that you've set aside enough time to take it in one sitting. Once you have those scores, you should report back here and we can come up with a study plan.
