Sorry, unplugged, that sounds stressful! And I've cried over lesser things than that. But I'm sure the interviewers are used to people getting really nervous and blanking out. Maybe you can do a little damage control in a thank you note?

Thanks Aenigma,

I can't do that because it was a phone int and I didn't get her name. She was definitely from the adcom though.

S*** happens

Don't worry, I'm sure whoever interviewed you has had much worse. Also, I hear interviews are just normal checks to make sure you're not some creeptastic basement-living weirdo. At least, that's what I hope, given how my interviews went! I'm pretty sure I replayed every little mistake I made in my interviews in my head for the past two weeks ... and the only thing that will remedy my psychosis is getting a final decision!!!

What? Maybe I shouldn't have put "home fungiculture" on my resume?

I don't know.

My brain was operating on a different frequency. I couldn't answer the first 2 questions - the most important of them - why you're here? As in your past experiences, why MBA et al etc and Why kellogg?

I was seriously speechless, just blabbered in some unknown language. I think I had about 10-12 points for why kellogg questions? I managed to tell only 3 or 4.

It felt so bad - tears started rolling down my eyes as soon as the interview was completed. Yes, I cried yesterday with a bottle of beer in my hand.

Had the same experience with the same school, but did not cry with a bottle of beer. Phone interview too, same adcom interviewer perhaps...
Living in a remote area sucks. Out of the four schools I managed to get an interview with, three were phone interviews. And I hate phone interviews, this is soooo awkward for international applicants! Well, I'm just waiting for the decision without much hope.

Am feeling rather powerless at the moment. I'm really glad the last 2 schools I have to hear from have specific notification days so I don't have to check my email obsessively, but at the same time, it feels like the seconds are ticking away at a snail's pace until those days, I can't keep myself busy enough, even at work!

in an effort to pass time waiting for R2 decisions, I re-read my Kellogg and Yale essays, and I found a few blantant grammatical errors. I had an admissions consultant and had 3-4 people read my essays. How is it after that and after I read my essays at least 10 times each, I still have errors!??! UGGGHHHHHHHHH

Yeah I feel you; I've been brainwashing myself with work, doing and memorizing gym workout routines 5x week, and Criminal Minds (zomg, amazing show, how did I ever miss this years ago?!) to help me forget and make time pass by seemingly quickly.

Re: Venting Thread [#permalink]
as we inch closer to deadlines i feel borderline psychotic.

yesterday i was driving my car and i had a fit of awesomeness. where i remembered how shtty 2009 was (personal and recession reasons), but was so excited and sure about bschool and 2010 that i felt the need to pump fist like i was a starring member of the jersey shore on mtv.

but then once at the office, i sat there exhausted by my addiction to these boards, worried sick about rejection and how slow it has been forthcoming, and frustrated immensely by my lack of focus to do the work i know i need to do. and i think, if my motivation could be measured right now it would be a massive digit number - with a minus sign in front and TBD dots at the end.

UGH.

OK, this is really silly, but I think I'm actually getting more nervous about my bank appointment than I ever did with any b-school application outcome. I'm SO close to going to either of my dream schools (haven't made my mind up yet) and I do have an oral agreement on financing from my bank, but what if something goes wrong and there I stand, with admits but no money? Aaaarggh.... someone bring me peace and a calm mind...

Which are the top 2 from your list (Hult (R1), Judge (R2), Saïd (R2), Katz (R2))?
