Hi all,
Please recommend some good books for probability, combination and permutation. Have major weakness in these areas
Hello,
toast12. Most test-takers have some trouble wrapping their heads around these advanced topics, especially the latter two. You can go out and buy a book on these matters--for example, Manhattan Review has produced such a dedicated book that costs just over $10 on Amazon--but you can get as much theory as you want right here, through this site. See, for instance, the following link:
https://gmatclub.com/forum/permutations-and-combinations-simplified-150835.html#p1211661From there, you can also check out the links in the response by
Bunuel. You will not only get the theory, but you will also get a lot of practice problems
for free. I myself am always on the lookout for free options whenever possible, and when they are also high-quality options, then it is a no-brainer. If you like to read from a book, though, I also get that. (I prefer books to tablet, phone, or kindle reading or some such.) A quick search on Amazon will bring up some titles for consideration, and whatever else you may think of Amazon, it does sell cheap books. The library might also carry a few helpful titles, depending on where you live or go to school.
Happy hunting.
