Hi Chambax,
It's a little odd that they even read your application even if you haven't actually finished it. Maybe they're aiming that a lot of people will participate in the AD on Nov 26.
I had my interview last week and it was generally ok. Just prepare your answers as they come in blow-by-blow, giving you little time to ponder and think of your answers.
Most of the questions are really personal in nature. I guess they really want to know your personality after reading through your essays. We had a little trouble with the VC at first but it became smooth sailing after around 5 mins of testing.
The interview lasted an hour. My interviewer had to remind me that we only had one minute left for my interview. We finished on the dot! To everyone,
Please post the first invite as I'm already dreading the day when my reject mail will come. Hehe... Just kidding. God Bless to everyone and Good Luck!

Hey,
Just got back from the open day and assessment days and thought I might try to do an in depth debrief since it seems to be a lot of mystery to this program.
First Admissions and application. The deadlines on the website are just a guidelines they really have a rolling admission process its best to time it according to the assessment day meaning get your application in like 3 weeks before the assessment day so they have time to review it.
GMAT: They just want you to have a score 620 and above
The biggest faults they see are application which do not show personality or who you really meaning only professional and academic.
They invite about 50% of applications to interview.
The interviews are with adcom and last an hour they honestly want to know more about you what is not in your application. Even before you started University and why I chose University.
The Assessment day is unique to IESE but they said they want more opportunity for the adcom to interact with you they set it up the way many corporates recruit when you have a group day with all the other candidates. The benefit in doing the assessment day is you have more adcom members to advocate for your candicy.
My thoughts is they also want the assessment day to sell the school further you spend more time on campus to fall in love with he school further and increase their yield of offers to acceptance.
The assessment day involves everyone doing an intro presentation then splitting into groups and working on a case and deciding the next steps.
Then we have to present the facts and why we made the decision to the large group while the adcom and other candidates asks us questions.
The adcom watches you through even when you break into small groups.
They told us many times there is a major advantage to attending the assessment days.
Let me know if you have any specific question they told us we should know by Tuesday.
I'm kinda indecisive on whether I should apply to IESE or not. I know it's one of the best European schools, but I'm not sure what would be my chances of getting a job in Europe after my MBA there, especially considering that I don't speak Spanish.
Anyhow, if I do end up applying, I think I'm in for round 2.
Thanks for starting this thread! I intend to apply to IESE during Round 1 (Oct 25 deadline).
@psycat: The recent career report shows that 31% of students found jobs in Spanish speaking countries (Spain + LatAm). They have a fair percentage of recruiters from every region (Asia, North America, West Europe, etc) so not speaking Spanish won't limit your chances of finding a job post MBA.
I intend on applying to IESE, but will probably do it round 3 or 4. I really like the program, but my only concern is getting a job in North America after graduation - looks like only 4% of all graduates end up back in the US.
Here is my profile: 27 years/Female/ Indian Undergrad: Engineering, India 1 year Long Distance executive program done from IIMC Total Work Ex: 5+ years (IT Sector) International Work Ex: 2 months (US) GMAT: 650 (q48,v31) low gpa

Just submitted my application for R1 today. I read somewhere that roughly a third of students go on exchange.
Did you get an application complete email from IESE? I'm wondering how long it takes IESE to acknowledge the receipt of the application once it is submitted.

submitted my application for R1 as well.
regarding the exchange program: there are about 90 slots (one third of class size), but they told me that a lot of students don't want to go on exchange so normally everyone who wants to can go. however, not everyone can go to the school of his choice...

Just submitted for "Round 1" yesterday. Please count me on the roll call.
Regarding exchange program: I talked with an admissions representative about this, she said these programs are fairly competitive, especially for the top US schools.

I have applied IESE in R1 and waiting eagerly for its interview invite. I had a cousin brother who completed his MBA from there this year and hence went his recommendation about reputation of school!
