I have not received a confirmation either. The website says that it might take a few days to get the confirmation mail. Where are you from? When did you apply?

I'm from Russia.
I don't want to copy-paste my "why-IESE" statements from essays :) but...
I like the program, two years, Barcelona, Enterpreneurial focus, case method.

What about you?

So you did manage to put in "Why IESE" even with the stingy word limit. Nice. I had asked you when did you apply, not why. But its nice to know why too :)
Im from India. Applied on 26th Oct. Not sure how long its gonna take for the school to get back, though im guessing it should be quick considering that the results will be out by 5th Dec.

Sounds like a good approach although I preferred to stick to what the question asked - it wasn't too tough with only 200 words an essay.

Just a heads up to those applying to IESE. I applied last year R1 and got an admit already by early November. This was cool, but on the other hand they wanted a deposit by early December. At that time I was still waiting on answers from other schools. Luckily, I could convince them to give me an extension on the decision. So factor this in if you apply to IESE, they might get back to you early and ask you to make a hefty deposit of €4500 within a month, unless they changed it this year and all decisions will be released on one day.

Also, you need to follow up with the adcom if you contact them. I sent emails which were never answered and always had to call to follow up on things.

Lastly, don't be surprised if you don't hear back from IESE by the decision deadline. Last year, from the threads I was following, for R2 and R3 applicants they sometimes had to wait 7 days after the decision deadline to get their results.

Don't want to bad mouth IESE. It's a fantastic school and one of the best in Europe! Maybe they learned from last year's chaos and this year everything will go smoothly. When I visited the campus, I also met many really nice people. Plus you can't beat living in Barcelona for 2 years.

Hi Tmino

Thank you for your perspective. I am guessing that the school has worked on this aspect this year (well, from whatever experience i'v had with them) - they have been quick in their responses to what i needed clarified during the application process, but I have not heard since i submitted my application.

Thanks once again for the post... nice to hear from someone who has gone through the process.

I did not recieved username or password in this e-mail.

But in the Instructions they state "Once the application is complete, the MBA Admissions Department will forward the candidate a message confirming receipt providing a username and password to enable the tracking of the application progress on-line."

Should I wait or call them? :?

Hi Everyone!

I just received an email from IESE with the username and password.
It lets me access the MBA 2009 forum (which is empty for the moment) and an application tracker.

In the application tracker, my application status is "Pending interview or receipt of interview report. "


Did someone else receive this email?
