Hey MBAgirl2010, good to see you on this thread. Maybe I saw you around last week!
You might have. Do you take Business Strategy at 8:30am or a Decision in Uncertainty class at 1:30pm on Thursdays? I got a chance to see those two.

I barely missed you in the admissions office, as I was wrapping up my interview around the time you'd have been heading to that Decision in Uncertainty class.

Why on earth would you choose to sit in on the DECS class (Decision in Uncertainty)? Even the students don't want to be there.
All in all though, it's a good quarter to visit classes; a lot of the most popular professors are on the visit list. If you're here for a visit, I'd highly recommend any of Profs. Calkins, Hennessy, Diermeier, Rebelo, or Grayson's classes.

I wanted to see a nice class and one that is considered not so nice so I know full scale of what to expect. Both course topics fit with my goals, though the decision class sounded better than what it was -basic stats and probability.
Hi, everyone! I'm a newbie here and have one question. I've submitted part 1 of the application but haven't started the essays yet. What will happen if I don't submit part 2 by Oct 14? Will my app be in Round 2 automatically? Or I lose my chance and can't apply in Round 2 now?

You will be considered for admission in the round that you submit part 2. If you don't submit part 2 until round 2, that is when you will be considered for admission.
Background: I've got 8 years of experience in print and online journalism; a year ago, if you'd asked me about grad school at Northwestern, I'd have assumed you meant Medill. Personally, having hired half a dozen Medill grads over the years for sub-$35K jobs, I think Kellogg is probably a much smarter investment!
I take the GMAT Oct. 19. Aiming for 700. Will update when I get my scores.
