A friendly troll here who has been monitoring the thread, mostly because of the unique way it appears R1 was handled. Big congrats to all those who were admitted and are still getting interview invites!

General question- do you tell schools the status of your applications to other programs? I'm debating whether I think it would help vs. hurt me in the long run...

Guys, does anyone who conducted the interview in R1 still has the "submitted" status? If so, does it mean something positive? Shall we call the AO straight to find out? Btw, I am in the Asia pool. Thanks!

You need to contact the adcom. Another applicant had the same issue. All the best!

th03, thanks for the reply. I read the same thread too but I think I am going to give them another day to shake it up. I read the admissions blog, it seems the paper-less system is dragging the process this year. As a matter of fact, I did not hear lots of admit reports in Asia this year so I speculate there might be another wave before the holiday. Btw, I felt very positive of my interview, if this does not yield to an admit, I will seriously doubt my feelings. Best of luck to all who is still waiting!

Cornell was by no means a safe school for me. Infact, it has more brand recognition in South Asia than Kellogg and Duke.

Anyways, congrats to you. I have been closely following your posts in various school forums, your picture really stands out :), and am really happy for you.

Thanks! As someone who was dinged at Kellogg, I think it's quite an achievement to be admitted there. Is that where you'll be headed in the fall?

I am still waiting to hear from Duke and IESE. I really like both schools for different reasons, especially Duke. I will make the decision after Jan 08.

I'm an American and applying from Asia (work assignment). I emailed the adcom who interviewed me a few hours ago asking them to please provide an update on the timeline. Will let you know what I hear.

Thanks, if you are also in R1, I guess we're in the same boat. Some guys admitted last year told me that the admits came out on a rolling basis - once they compile your interview feedback with your application, they are about to make the decision within 48 hours. It seems some of the R1 interviews concentrated in the last week before Dec 19, so I guess that's why we did not hear the decision yet. Given the holiday, I believe they will let us know before Friday.

Yep I just heard back from my interviewer. Overwhelming volume, rolling basis now, I'll likely know by COB today.

Hey guys I got a question, all suggestions welcome.

So here it is , I got Waitlisted at Johnson after a pretty good interview. My WE will be 4 years at matriculation ( Mix of High Tech and Intellectual property research and consulting ) and GMAT 730 Q49, V41. Strong extra curriculars and social work.

What can I do to get off the waitlist and get into Johnson, with the short span of time at hand. I got the usual waitlist message that they would like me to strengthen my application. But with the limited amount of time before the waitlist decisions are made, I am clueless about what my options are?

Any help!?

Curious where you got the timeline from? I'm ignorant to the situation, so bear with me, but did the waitlist message say you'll be evaluated along with Round 2 applicants?

If not, what usually happens is that the waitlist will be used to fill the gaps left by the yield (i.e. they were looking for a class of 275, but only 260 accepted offers). What I'm trying to say is, I think you have some time before they re-evaluate you as a WL candidate. Someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Guys, two days after the R1 decision date and my status still shows "submitted". I was interviewed on Dec 13th and was told the decision would be available on Dec 19 sharp... I've emailed AO but no response, what's your recommendation on the next step?

Mine said submitted for a while - do you have a "decision status available" under the recommenders with a link below it?

Checked a zillion times... Nothing under the recommenders. Above the recommenders, there is a line saying "Interview Scheduled - We scheduled your interview for The Johnson School MBA program. Please contact the admissions office with any questions."

Similar situation, but my interviewer did let me know they are working through them on a rolling basis now. I'm working under the optimistic assumption that the site isn't being updated because they are waiting to call us with the acceptance news...
