(A) Mary would rather they had served seafood than pizza at the convention last night.

(B) Mary would rather they have served seafood than pizza at the convention last night.

GMAT Ultimate Grammar book tells that the A is correct. I think that there is a mistake in the book itself.

Dear CAMANISHPARMAR. I don't think you'll find such question in your GMAT examination.
Focus more on questions put up by experts and questions that have sources mentioned.
